LEGAL ISSUES

Pathogen identifying tests don't describe the virulence (how much harm caused) of a pathogen, leaving room for issues for any person part taking in research that includes detections. Due to the current techniques not ensuring safety of participants because of the unknown strengths of pathogens, therefore it is a legal issue. Participants could be those who are collecting the data.

ECONOMIC ISSUES

Most accurate methods of pathogen detection have high costs. This causes an issue for any developing countries suffering from infectious diseases. This is an economic issue because it leaves for only the rich developed countries to have this technology for their own. There are techniques that have lower costs, but they are limited by their results' accuracy.

Does that mean only the wealthy will have this technology? While the others have to endure life threatening diseases or pay their savings to those who have the technology.

SOCIAL ISSUES

Many of the pathogen detection techniques require lots of labor from trained personnel, time consuming, and use up labile (unstable) natural products.

The issue of requiring trained personnel is restricting occupations to those with high education, which can be expensive and take lots of time.

The labile natural products are found to originate in the complex composition of plants and animals. However, it is very difficult and takes time in isolating purely these unstable compounds.
